Women Mental Health

Women Mental Health

Women face unique mental challenges compared to men. Often the symptoms vary from gender to gender for similar disorders. Eva and Iris extends a caring and empowering space where women can feel, heard, understood, and receive the care they need to improve the overall wellbeing.

A woman goes through hormonal changes throughout her life – during pregnancy, menstruation, postpartum, and menopause. This often leads to mood swings, anxiety and depression. Gender discrimination and bias may also impact their self-esteem and mental health. Women are more likely to face sexual violence, domestic abuse and other forms of trauma. Our goal is to provide exceptional mental health support to women at the comfort of your home.

Know when to seek counselling?

Sleeping and eating disorders: Women tend to develop eating disorders — anorexia or bulimia — more often than men. Counselling can help them address the underlying psychological factors contributing to these conditions.

Social withdrawal: Social withdrawal could be a symptom of a more serious mental health condition such as social anxiety disorder or major depressive disorder.

Suicidal thoughts: Women with borderline personality disorder show symptoms like impulsive behaviour, self-harm or suicidal behaviours.

Relationship issues: Relationship issues borne out of communication problems, infidelity, or conflicts with partners or family members.
